Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom — the largest animal theme park in the world — is the perfect place for those looking for wildlife experiences near Orlando. Part theme park, part zoo and part African safari, visitors will see animals like zebras, lions, Bengal tigers, huge fruit bats, Komodo dragons and other exotic animals you probably wouldn’t expect to see in Florida. There’s also an area of dinosaur-themed attractions called DinoLand USA, where visitors can enjoy rides, games and wildlife-themed musicals like “The Lion King” and “Finding Nemo.” And of course, this family-friendly Orlando experience offers plenty of photo opportunities with Disney characters.
Gatorland
For those hoping to enjoy exciting wildlife experiences near Orlando, Gatorland is a must. After passing through the wide-open jaws of the main entrance, you’ll enter a park full of alligator and crocodile experiences. Stroll along boardwalks suspended over gator-filled marsh, bird-watch from a three-story observatory tower, ride the family-friendly Gatorland Express Train, learn how to wrangle crocodiles first-hand, and take in a live wildlife show.
